Watched "Born into Brothels" last night - it won the oscar 2 days ago in
the best documentary category ! I highly recommend it - its beautiful,
sad, touching, painful and optimistic as well. Its about 8 kids in
Calcutta's red-light street, aged between 10-14 and their extremely harsh
lives ! They are taught photography by Zana Briski (who made the  movie)
and use their art and talent to bring a ray of hope in their otherwise
sordid lives !
