I finished implementing Darryl Veitch's clock in scamper by way of
using the datalink to obtain timestamps.  I sent him the code, but
have not heard from him since.  I also had a second PR opened by a
third party to have scamper added to the FreeBSD ports collection.
This time I have decided just to let it be added even though it
isn't quite what I'd like to have added.

I spent the rest of the week (4 days) on my thesis, working some
more on the background chapter, trying to get it into a coherent
state.

Next week: thesis.
