[Scamper-dev] more thoughts on skdriver and pals

Maybe static-generator's "state" file should be named ".state", to avoid
the namespace that can be clobbered by someone installing a new file.
When anyone tries to submit a ".*" file in a list directory, there
should be a warning then, instead of letting the submit proceed and
then silently not installing the file.
Maybe the generator's name should be preserved in the list directory,
i.e. "static-generator", not "generator". A "generator: <filename>"
directive in the manifest would tell skdriver the name of the
generator script. As it is currently, you can't tell what "generator"
actually is without reading the file (and static-generator currently
doesn't even contain the string "static-generator" anywhere in it).
Which brings up another point: all these scripts should have a CVS
"$Id: $" string in them. The same goes for config files, if they are
to be kept in CVS.
Maybe static-generator can be installed in the top level directory, and
used as the default generator for any lists that don't have a generator
in their list directory. (But this would complicate handling of things
like "reset-on:", so maybe not.)
