CoralReef 3.6.0 is now available to the general public. It can be found
at http://www.caida.org/tools/measurement/coralreef/ or directly from
http://www.caida.org/tools/measurement/coralreef/dists/coral-3.6.0-public.tar.gz

CoralReef is a comprehensive software package from CAIDA for passive
monitoring normal network interfaces as well as special purpose ATM
and POS interfaces, and reading "crl", "tsh", pcap (tcpdump), and
dagtools tracefiles. It includes FreeBSD drivers for Apptel POINT
(OC12 and OC3 ATM) and FORE FATM (OC3 ATM) cards, the ability to
work with drivers for WAND DAG (OC3, OC12 and OC48, POS and ATM)
cards on linux, programming APIs for C and perl, and software
applications for capture, analysis, and reporting of ATM, IP, and
TCP/UDP traffic.

Major new features in CoralReef 3.6 include:
* Can read DAG 4 POS file format with arbitrary "slen" (can not yet read
DAG 4 cards directly, but can accept piped output from dagsnap; reading
directly from DAG 4 cards is expected in the near future)
* Rotating output and error files
* Added or improved support for MPLS, IPv6, and other protocols.
* Installs Coral/lib/example directory to use as a starting point for writing
  your own coral-based applications.
* Supports "large files" (>2GB)
* Added Countries.pm perl module to look up country name, country code, and
  continent information
* Improved robustness (especially when dealing with corrupt tracefiles)
  and performance

For a complete list, see the CHANGES file on the website or in the
distribution.
