hmm, it occurred to me that quite significant
portion of top directors staged operas:
1. tarkovsky (boris godunov)
2. bergman (magic flute, well, it's a film-opera, but i bet
	he made other opera-operas, too)
3. herzog (many productions)
4. konchalovsky (ivan susanin, but konchalovsky is
	not very top)
5. greenaway (which one?)
...probably missing some others.

why opera? is it cinematographic in any sense?
why not, say, ballet?
